Our recently completed Camp Hill project is all kinds of magnificent. Featuring a combination of low maintenance, sustainable and stylish monument matt cladding and warm timber tones on the exterior, this family home truly stands out on the street.
The clients brief was to update and modernise the front and rear facade of their home to enhance its street appeal and to extend their current outdoor areas into more liveable spaces.
In addition to modernising this home’s exterior, we extended the first floor master bedroom and balcony; extended the back part of the second floor to create a comfortable outdoor area; and extended the front part of the second floor to include an art studio and a large outdoor alfresco area.
It wasn’t always easy…
Our Camp Hill clients remained living in their home during this renovation, which posed a challenge for our team. All three levels of the front facade required extensive demolition, which was a big job however we had to ensure we didn’t disrupt our client’s lives too much. Luckily, we were able to complete most of the renovation from the exterior of the building, so our clients weren’t impacted significantly by noise or interruptions.
Innovation was key
The goal of this project was to create indoor and outdoor that were modern and low maintenance. Working alongside Brisbane architect Billy Lam, we were required to create spaces constructed from sustainable products as this was part of the clients brief. We chose products like stylish Lysaght Enseam cladding by Colorbond Steel and timber-look cladding by Knotwood Australia.
